The History

When he was young, Giovanni Ferrari, worked as miner and then as bricklayer. In 1959 he became building contractor and opened a construction company together with his brother Carletto that died soon after.

Ginin worked principally in the area of TraregomViggiona where he realized the “Panoramica Ferrari” by building a long street with holiday houses and bringing water and electric energy in one of the most beautiful area of the Lake Maggiore.

It was the period of the “Economic Boom” when Ginin, recognizing the potential of the upper Lago Maggiore’s area, built almost 300 holiday houses for foreign clients.

The clients, that arrived mostly from Germany, including important people, found in Trarego Viggiona local hospitality and friendliness that made the place an ideal “nest” for their holidays. Ginin was the pioneer that brought light into the area through tourism after the post-war.

To continue and to complete his work the 5 daughters opened in 1985 the real estate agency “Immobiliare Ginin” in Cannobio. Then they started working in the more wide area of Cannobio, Valle Cannobina, Cannero-Riviera, Ghiffa and Verbania.
